Terms

of service

Our priority is the health, comfort, and happiness of your pet. To provide safe, professional, and consistent grooming experiences, all clients and pets must adhere to the following policies.

1. Regular Grooming Schedule

Pets maintained on a regular grooming schedule enjoy the best pricing and consistent care. When you pick up your pet, we will always schedule the next appointment to ensure your pet doesn’t miss out on the benefits of routine grooming. Typical grooming intervals about 6–12 weeks, depending on the pet’s coat type, behavior, and individual needs. Keeping your pet on a routine ensures you always get our best pricing.

2. Honest Communication About Your Pet

To provide the safest and most successful grooming experience, it is essential that owners disclose their pet’s health history, behaviors, and past experiences. If your pet bites, is aggressive, or reactive to people, animals, or specific grooming procedures, please inform us in advance. We will not automatically refuse service, but we need this information to protect staff and other pets, plan appropriate handling techniques, use safety equipment such as muzzles or bite-proof gloves, schedule appointments to minimize stress and maximize success. Being forthcoming ensures we can meet your pet’s needs safely and effectively. Grooming can be stressful, especially for senior pets or pets with medical conditions. These pets will be groomed for comfort and cleanliness, minimizing stress and avoiding unnecessary risks. Emergency Care: Pawparazzi Pet Services is authorized to seek immediate veterinary care if necessary, and owners will be contacted as soon as possible, and are responsible for all veterinary expenses deemed to be unrelated to grooming accidents.

3. Vaccinations & Veterinarian Information

All pets must be current on core vaccinations:

  • Dogs: rabies, distemper, parvovirus

  • Cats: FVRCP

Proof of vaccination or recent titer testing must be provided upon request. Current veterinarian contact information is also required. Special circumstances will be considered individually.

4. Mat Removal

Matted coats can cause pain, skin irritation, and medical complications. Mats may need to be shaved, which carries risks such as: Cuts, nicks, or abrasions, itchiness, redness, or behavioral changes (stress), risk of sunburn on shaved areas. An additional de-matting fee of $60/hour applies if you request this service, which we do not recommend. Regular brushing and scheduled grooming are the best prevention. Severe matting may prevent desired grooming outcomes.

5. Accidents

Grooming involves sharp tools and active pets. Minor accidents (cuts, nicks, scratches) may occur. Groomers may end the session early if the pet is at risk, even if the groom is incomplete. All care will be taken to avoid any harm to your pet, but if injury occurs, we will bring it to your attention.

6. Parasites

Pawparazzi Pet Services is willing to provide preventative Flea Bath on healthy adult pets when requested, but we do not provide treatments for active infestation. Take your pet to the vet for flea treatment and then schedule your grooming appointment for at least 2 weeks after. Parasites pose health risks to both pets and humans.

  • Fleas: If found, pets must be picked up immediately; a $100 flea fee applies for salon fumigation.

  • Ticks: Removed for an additional charge; Lyme disease testing is recommended.

7. Hold Harmless Agreement

By signing this agreement, owners agree to hold Pawparazzi Pet Services, its owners, employees, and affiliates harmless from pet injuries, property damage, and financial claims arising from services or products provided. This agreement applies to all current and future pets groomed by Pawparazzi Pet Services. Policies may change at any time and override prior agreements.

8. Photography Consent

Owners consent to photography of their pet(s) for marketing, social media, and promotional purposes. Images remain the property of Pawparazzi Pet Services and may be used indefinitely.

9. Late Pick-Up Policy

Pets must be picked up promptly after grooming. Ideal pick-up is within 30 minutes of notification. After closing $100/day kennel fee, plus additional expenses for food or medication. Uncontacted pets left over 24 hours will be considered abandoned and surrendered to Taber Bylaw.

10. No-Shows & Cancellations

No-shows or same-day cancellations are required to prepay before booking a future appointment. Prepayment is non-refundable and non-transferable. Attempting to rebook on the morning of your appointment is considered a no-show. 24-hour notice is required for cancellations to allow us to fill your appointment slot.

11. Payment Policy

Payment accepted via cash, debit, or credit at the time of pick-up, and all fees must be paid before scheduling the next appointment.
